Control Systems for Power Electronic Converters


FOTO We have valuable experience in design of advanced control systems for power converters. We prepare complete control system solutions for any type of converter. Depending on the application, control system may be realized as an analog circuit or as mixed (analog/digital) circuit. Digital signal processing may be realized by means of microcontroller, DSP processor or FPGA chip. FPGA technology usage gives possibility to implement complex control algorithms and to gradually scale cost to required digital signal processing power.
According to the application demands, we offer different control algorithm solutions. We develop new control strategies for untypical applications. We have experience in development of:
  • vector control systems for active rectifiers and inverters for induction or synchronous machines,
  • control systems for multilevel converters,
  • control systems for high power stepper motor drives,
  • high power resonant converters control systems,
  • analog control circuits for various power supplies.

In our control systems we implement diverse communication interfaces (RS-232/422/485, USB, CAN) along with adequate communication protocols (e.g. modbus). Amongst others, we offer Ethernet interface implementation. Thus, various remote monitoring and control schemes are possible. Our devices operate with a variety of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems.

Converters based on our control systems may be equipped with LCD and touch panel for operation parameters setup and graphical presentation of data collected by the device. For our devices we provide administrative applications working under Windows, Unix or Linux operating system.
